Focus i.1 & i.1x

The Focus i.1 Terrestrial Laser Scanner Series delivers fast, accurate reality capture andconnected workflows, helping teams createreliable digital representations and turnfield data into project insight.

Survey-Grade Scan Data, Captured On Site

The FARO Focus i.1 and Focus i.1 X pair up to 0.9 mm object scanning accuracy with up to two million points captured per second, so the geometry you measure on site is the geometry you deliver. Accelerated colourized capture takes approximately 20 seconds, and the Focus i.1 X reaches up to 400 m for extended-range outdoor work.

Survey-grade terrestrial scanning with flash high resolution color. Flash high-resolution colour capture runs in two modes — one tuned for speed on site, one for maximum colour fidelity — so every scan comes back with true-to-life colour alongside its geometry.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Focus i.1 and Focus i.1 X?

Both scanners provide the same core accuracy and measurement speed. Focus i.1 has a maximum range of 200 metres on highly reflective surfaces and includes a LiDAR-based localizer. Focus i.1 X increases the maximum range to 400 metres and includes GNSS/RTK georeferencing.

How long does a scan take?

Scan time depends on the selected resolution, quality and colour settings. FARO specifies approximately 20 seconds for accelerated colourized capture using the included Insta360 X6 PanoCam.

Can Focus data be used with CAD and BIM software?

Yes. Focus data can be processed through FARO SCENE or Sphere XG and exported for use in third-party CAD, BIM, GIS and point-cloud applications.

Is Focus a mobile scanner?

No. Focus is a terrestrial laser scanner that captures from stationary tripod positions. For mobile walk-and-scan capture, consider FARO Rovi i.1 or FARO Orbis.
