UAV Ground School



Course instructors hold Air Transport Pilot License with Instructor rating.  Delivered with Toronto Airways | Canadian Flight Academy, this UAV Ground School is registered with Transport Canada as meeting TP-15263E instruction requirements and includes ROC-A testing by an Industry Canada Accredited Examiner on site.

Product Description

To take advantage of the fast evolving UAV technology and apply them to solve your industry challenges requires a solid understanding of the technology, theory, laws and regulations, as well as piloting skills are necessary. This course will also cover an UAV operation from start to finish and make you familiar with the most important aspects of what is needed to operate a UAV lawfully and provide you with all the necessary tools to make you a knowledge, safer and more confident pilot.

We will introduce you to real flight scenarios from industrial applications, such as filmmaking, search and rescue as well as inspections. Critical UAV pilot skills covered include: flight planning, standard operating procedures, risk and crisis management, equipment maintenance and repairs.

As a Transport Canada certified flight school, you will receive Ground School Certificate meeting Transport Canada requirements and Restricted Radio Operator Certificate With Aeronautical Qualification (ROC-A) as part of this course following an examination. This training course designed for todays commercial and industrial standards exceeds Transport Canada defined Knowledge Requirements for Pilots of Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAV) TP 15263. This is required for insurance and SFOC application.
